snapshots

These are a few pictures I took the other day after Blake's nap (notice the bed head!). Blake loves to get his picture taken, then run over to me to see it appear on the camera. After taking multiple pictures, I realized I didn't get a single picture of him smiling directly at the camera but many that capture his silly personality!

I realized the other day that I have neglected to update everyone on Baby Farwell, who will be arriving soon. I am about 35 weeks along, which is very hard to believe. Lots of people ask me if I'm ready for the arrival and the answer is yes... and no. We are very excited to meet Baby Farwell but I'm realizing I have a long list of things to get done!! It's such a different experience with a second child! When Blake arrived, I had his room and everything ready MONTHS in advance and I feel bad that I haven't done the same with this one. With that said, nesting mode is now in full swing and I am working hard to get things ready for baby #2. We are SO excited to meet him or her!!

the one who got away

If you are one of the lucky few who ever attempted to change Blake's diaper, you know that it is not an easy task! Blake loves to try and get away and is a very strong little guy... today his attempt was successful.

Normally I would get him right away and finish the job, but once he got away I figured it would be a good chance to let his diaper rash air out for a few minutes. Here is what he did during the brief moment of freedom. What can I say? He got his moves from his dad. =)

trip to kansas...

We enjoyed a trip to Kansas this past weekend to visit Nolan's family. Blake also got to meet 2 new cousins! In the above picture is baby Kenton, along with Daddy, Grandpa and Blake.

This is baby Josie, who we got to meet on Saturday. Blake also enjoyed playing with his other cousins- Nevaeh and Malia. I didn't get any good pictures of all of them together but they sure had a lot of fun!

It was a beautiful day on Sunday and Blake spent some time outside with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma showed him the flowers in the garden and then got out the swing.

Bern (Nolan's hometown) just built a new playground this past week and opened it up on Sunday. It is going to be a great place for all of the cousins to run around!
