It's Blake's first Halloween and I must say he is the cutest frog we've ever seen!
Blake enjoyed going to a Halloween carnival with his cousins Ellie (rabbit) and Hannah (lion).

new discoveries!
Blake has been standing up for a little over a week now. It seems so easy for him now and he loves the new things he is able to find! This morning I caught him in his bedroom pulling everything (and I mean Everything) off of his toy shelf!

so easily entertained!
I took this video a few days before Blake got sick. It's funny how easily he can be entertained by the simplest things! The video is only 2 minutes- but he played this little game for a little over 30 minutes one afternoon.
As far as how Blake is doing now, he is feeling much better but still a little under the weather. Hopefully a much better day in store for tomorrow! =)

emergency room...
Sorry- No pictures today.... just an update. Blake did get one thing from his mother and that one thing is croup. Croup develops after a simple cold or flu and can be very scary as it really limits your ability to breathe. After an exhausting night and hard morning we felt it was time to get him to the doctor because his 'croup attacks' were getting more frequent and harder for him to overcome. The ER doctor told us it was a very good thing that we did...
So, long story short- after 3 hours at the hospital, a shot, 2 respiratory treatments, and a prescription- I am happy to say that Blake is sleeping soundly in his dad's arms right now. We are all worn out but so thankful that Blake is breathing peacefully and showing signs of improvement!!

brent and blake
Blake has a new buddy!
We enjoyed a visit from Brent this weekend. Brent has been in Texas the last couple years but has recently moved back to Kansas... it's great having him a bit closer for weekend visits like this!
