emergency room...

Sorry- No pictures today.... just an update. Blake did get one thing from his mother and that one thing is croup. Croup develops after a simple cold or flu and can be very scary as it really limits your ability to breathe. After an exhausting night and hard morning we felt it was time to get him to the doctor because his 'croup attacks' were getting more frequent and harder for him to overcome. The ER doctor told us it was a very good thing that we did...
So, long story short- after 3 hours at the hospital, a shot, 2 respiratory treatments, and a prescription- I am happy to say that Blake is sleeping soundly in his dad's arms right now. We are all worn out but so thankful that Blake is breathing peacefully and showing signs of improvement!!

I can understand how terrifying that must have been for you, as it was for your mother Katie. After Nevaeh received that steroid shot, she had not more croup attacks. Praying for the same for Blake. I'm so sorry you had to experience that awful moment. It is terrifying watching your child have difficulty in breathing.

Yikes, how scary for you. This isn't the typical post we expect to find when we check Blake's blog. I'm thankful for medical personnel who knew just how to help Blake, and that he is doing better. I'm thankful he has such good parents who care about him so much!
