At the beginning of the summer, Nolan and I thought the biggest threat to our garden were the many rabbits that seem to be running around our neighborhood. So, to protect the garden we have been excited about since the end of last summer- we invested in a fence to put around our cherished vegetables.
Storms came through last night with some very strong wind and heavy rain, leaving us a nice little gift from our neighbors yard. An entire tree came down right into our garden, smashing our fence and many of our vegetables.
At this moment, Nolan and a neighbor from the other side (aka- the good neighbor) are cutting the tree up. We've had a few issues with the neighbors from which the tree came from, even having to call the city about their 4 foot tall grass- so we didn't expect them to clean the tree up themselves. Hopefully most of our garden can be salvaged and the fence can be repaired before the rabbits move in!
